The Foundation is donating EUR 20,000 to support Refugees Welcome Stockholm in their vital work promoting justice, protection, inclusion and asylum rights. Through offering Swedish-language lessons, legal advice and welcoming meeting places, Refugees Welcome Stockholm ensures newly arrived people feel supported, empowered and connected as they build their lives in Sweden.

The Foundation is donating EUR 20,000 to support Reporters Without Borders in their mission to defend freedom of expression and press freedom worldwide. With a long history and a strong global network, Reporters Without Borders protects journalists, exposes those who seek to silence or distort the truth, and shines a light on violations of media freedom wherever they occur, holding those in power to account.

The Foundation is donating EUR 30,000 in order to support youth groups standing up against mines in Sápmi and their work in which they, among other things strengthen the communities' resistance against green colonialism, and resilience against the effects of climate change, with the aim to stop mining and influence mining already planned on their land, and thus minimise the impact on people and the land.

The foundation is donating EUR 30,000 to the Panzi Foundation in the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to support their work with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence and their advocacy work for justice and long-term change to end sexual violence in the region. The Panzi Hospital delivers a comprehensive holistic-care model that includes medical treatment, psychological support, legal assistance, and socio-economic reintegration, in order to heal survivors and restore dignity.

The Foundation is donating EUR 25,000 to Stop Ecocide International in order to support their work to develop legal frameworks to protect people and the planet; specifically legal frameworks for the criminalisation of the worst harms to nature known as “ecocide”.

The Foundation is donating EUR 50,000 to Red Cross in order to support their frontline work in responding to escalating emergencies, thus supporting their work in providing urgent primary healthcare and disaster relief across the region.

The Foundation is donating EUR 30,000 to Youth Theatre Kenya in order to support their youth engagement work in which they, among other things, raise awareness on climate change, across different regions in Kenya, as well as working across Sub-S aharan Africa with several youth theatres in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Namibia.

The Foundation is donating EUR 25,000 to FMST in order to support the movement consisting of environmental justice organizations and organizations that learn and promote MST agroecological food production techniques and thus mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity loss, deforestation and freshwater use, whilst securing food and nutritional security and human rights.

The Foundation is donating EUR 10,000 to Climate Academy in order to support their environmental crisis education work, formulated with the aim of reforming prevailing fragmented climate- and environmental education. Via a holistic educational programme, young people are given the full picture through a systems-informed approach while learning about the depth and range of the crisis

The Foundation is donating EUR 44,827 to Climate2025 in order to support climate activists from Fridays For Future to go the 2023 Bonn intersessional sessions which are held in preparation for the next COP. This donation aims to help climate justice voices be heard early in the COP28 process.

The Foundation is donating EUR 275,000 to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for their work supporting the needs of people displaced by climate-driven extreme weather, especially in Pakistan and Somalia. In Pakistan, IOM aims to reach over 1.3 million persons affected by the catastrophic floods. In Somalia, IOM has reached over 400,000 people displaced internally by the historic drought caused by four consecutive failed rainy seasons.

The Foundation is donating SEK 2,000,000 to the Indigenous Jåhkåganska Sámi community in Jokkmokk municipality in the north of Sweden. The financial donation will support the Sámi communities legal fight against the Swedish government's decision to allow an iron mine in Gállok. Indigenous peoples comprise less than 5% of the world population, but safeguard 80% of the Earth's biodiversity.

The Foundation is donating EUR 100,000 to Climate 2025 to support youth climate activists from MAPA (Most Affected People and Areas) to attend COP27 in Egypt. This donation aims to help voices to be heard from the areas most affected by the climate crisis, as they are historically underrepresented in the climate debate.

The Foundation is donating EUR 275,000 to support UNICEF's work to tackle the global malnutrition crisis. The donation will help children get access to food, clean water, health care and sanitation in areas affected by climate-driven extreme weather, conflict and rising food prices, for example in the Horn of Africa and in Pakistan.

The Foundation is donating the full amount related to royalties after tax, SEK 3,439,238, from the book “Scener ur hjärtat” / “Our House is on Fire”, in line with the foreword of the book, to six organisations: Greenpeace, WWF, Lära med Djur, Fältbiologerna, Naturskyddsföreningen, and Djurens Rätt.

The Foundation is donating EUR 42,000 to Climate 2025 to support youth climate activists from MAPA (Most Affected People and Areas) to attend the Stockholm +50 environmental conference on 2nd and 3rd June 2022. This donation aims to help voices to be heard from the areas most affected by the climate crisis, as they are historically underrepresented in the climate debate.

The Foundation is donating a sum of SEK 1,000,000 (~EUR 93,600) to four leading international organisations working to support people suffering from the consequences of armed conflict, with the war in Ukraine only the latest, tragic example. Civilians, and especially children, suffer the worst effects of armed conflicts and the UNHCR estimates that more than 100 million people globally are currently displaced from their homes.

The Greta Thunberg Foundation is donating EUR 100,000 to the WHO Foundation to support the COVAX programme and the World Health Organization’s work for global vaccine equity.

The Foundation is donating SEK 100,000 (~EUR 9,650) to Eco-Sud Mauritius for their oil spill cleaning work after the oil tanker MV Wakashio ran aground off the coast of Mauritius on 25 July. Eco-Sud is an environmental NGO created by the citizens of Blue Bay-Mahébourg over 20 years ago in order to protect the environment and the biodiversity of Mauritius for the generations of today and tomorrow.

The first two donations made possible by the Gulbenkian award, worth EUR 100,000 each, are given to the SOS Amazonia campaign, led by Fridays For Future Brazil to support those persons and families most affected by climate change and COVID in the Amazon 2020, and to the Stop Ecocide Foundation to support their work to make ecocide an international crime.

The Foundation donates USD 100,000 to to support UNICEF's efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic and protect children from its direct and knock-on consequences.

The Foundation is donating NOK 250,000 to Foreningen Grunnloven §112, an umbrella organisation that coordinates the People vs Arctic Oil case. The case aims to use legal means to stop the Norwegian government from expanding oil production in the Arctic area.
